Jonathan Harvey in Conversation + BeautIFUl Thing film screening

  • New Century Hall 34 Hanover Street Manchester, England, M4 4AH United Kingdom (map)

An evening celebrating comedy writer Jonathan Harvey whose work includes Gimme Gimme Gimme and Beautiful Thing.

Jonathan Harvey is one of our top comedy voices, having written for stage, screen and novels he is best known for the outrageous BBC sitcom Gimme Gimme Gimme starring Kathy Burke and the seminal play turned British queer cinema classic Beautiful Thing.

Join us for an evening celebrating Jonathan's work talking about his career and showing some of his favourites, including a screening of Beautiful Thing.

This event is part of our Queer As Jokes strand celebrating funny queer people and the things that make our community laugh from classic sitcoms to new comedy films.

Check out the rest of the season at the festival if you want some lightness in these dark times.
