Three drag queens travel cross-country until their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in a small town.
After winning a local pageant in New York City, drag queens Noxeema Jackson (Wesley Snipes), Chi-Chi Rodriguez (John Leguizamo) and Vida Boheme (Patrick Swayze) buy a Cadillac and head cross country to compete in the Drag Queen of America pageant in Hollywood in this classic queered comedy.
This "Camp Cult Comedies" screening on First Street's outdoor screen is part of our "Queer As Jokes" strand celebrating funny queer people and the things that make our community laugh, from classic sitcoms to new comedy films.
Check out the rest of the season at the festival if you want some lightness in these dark times.
