TICKETING

1. Is there a festival pass or do I need to buy tickets for each screening individually?

We don’t offer festival passes at this time, so tickets will need to be purchased for each individual screening. Many tickets are free or very low price, so you can buy multiple tickets without breaking the bank!

2. Are there any free events or screenings?

Yes, there are many free events:

The Wizard of Oz. ( Sat 16th, 2pm, First Street, Outdoor Screening)

We also offer free tickets for most events for those in the LGBTQ community who cannot afford to pay for tickets. In addition, all events have concession or reduced price options for low and unwaged attendees.


3. Do you offer discounts for students, seniors, or low-income attendees?

Yes, we offer reduced price concession/ unwaged and low waged tickets for all events.
We also offer communtiy tickets for those who cannot afford a low-waged ticket.
They can be purchased alongside full-price standard tickets

4. What is your refund or exchange policy?

Sadly we do not offer refunds or exchanges. If you have any issues with your tickets purchased via Skiddle please email hello@scenfestival.com, if you have any issues with tickets purchased by other providers or venues please contact the venue.

5. What should I do if an event is sold out?

If the event that you would like to attend is sold out Skiddle will automatically add you to a wait list. If the event you want to attend that is sold out is not sold on Skiddle (our ticket partner) please contact the venue or email hello@scenefestival.com

6. What happens to the money made from ticket sales?

Profits from ticket sales, along with booking fees from our ticketing partner Skiddle, will be donated to Manchester Pride Charity.


Accessibility & Inclusivity

1. Do you have carers/ companion tickets? 

Companion tickets are available to book for free on all events, with the exception of Queerchester, Protest and the Walking Tours. 

2. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

All our partner venues are wheelchair accessible. Please see the venue accessibility information which is available on each event page on the website. 

3. Will films have subtitles or closed captions?

All films that have captions or subtitles are indicated within the 'More Information' section on the event page on the website. 

4. What steps are you taking to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all attendees?

We hope to make sure your attendance at SCENE is as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Partner venues are chosen in part as they are LGBTQ+ friendly and accessible as possible to everyone. If you see ways that we can improve please speak to q member of SCENE staff (in pink t-shirts) on the day and/or we encourage feedback via one of our paper forms at the festival or email hello@scenefestival.com

5. How do I claim a low-wage ticket?

Low waged and community tickets can be purchased on the same ticket pages as general admission tickets

Festival Content & Submissions

  1. How can I submit a film or series for the festival?

    Unfortunately, submissions for SCENE 2025 are now closed. Sign up to our mailing list via our website to be the first to hear about submissions for 2026. 

Events & Programming

  1. Are there networking opportunities for filmmakers and industry professionals?

    We aren't hosting an official networking event, but we are always looking to connect with others in the industry and encourage others to do so at our events including the SCENE Opening Party and pre and post most events. Some events have Q&As and chances to speak to the filmmakers and contributors of the content screening.

2. Is the programme suitable for all ages?

Age ratings are displayed on each individual event page. 

3. Are there family-friendly or youth-focused screenings?

The First Screen events are suitable for younger audiences.
